Name
CrainWWR (Also known as Crain, LeanusCrain, or Budget Gymnast) is a acronym of the phrase "Chocolate Rain" from the Hit song by Tay Zonday. Along with a reference to this very game with 'WWR' appended to the end. This is also a homage to the well known Wind Waker TASer TrogWW.
Contributions
Crain is best known for his love of Door Cancel, along with being the main developer for the Multiworld project. Some more minor contributions are a Low% LOTAD using the Randomizer, an alpha LUA core for writing universal TWW Scripts, and figuring out some of the least RTA friendly clips possible.
History
Having joined the community around March 10th 2020, his first recorded time was a 3:32.03 on SRL. If asked, he will state the time would have been lower if he didn't mess up a small key skip in Dragon Roost Cavern. This race was also the first official race for Tanjo3. For the first year of racetime.gg he helped as a moderator. He would state his greatest accomplishment while doing this was getting Back in Time banned for Asyncs/Racing. He did this purely out of annoyance of BiT being considered "useless" for The Wind Waker Randomizer. In mid 2021 he stepped down as a Moderator of racetime.gg in order to focus on his personal life.
In December of 2021 he began development of the Multiworld project. Having always desired to give something back to the community, he was excited to help create one of the most asked for features.
Miscellaneous/Trivia
- Crain's nickname "Budget Gymnast" steps from his time commentating for Races on ZeldaSpeedRuns as his voice sounded the same as Gymnast's for many people.
- He helped port TWWR's racetime.gg bot for Skyward Sword Randomizer.
- He recommends to double check everything he states, as although he tends to be right, his memory is worse than a goldfish's.
- His Profile Picture is an original piece by Melonzy, and is a mixture of himself and Toon Link.
- The cup in his Profile Picture is a Yerba Mate gourd, as he would drink this consistently during his first months streaming.
- "Garage go brrr" is a reference to his Parent's Garage door, as he used to stream from his room over the garage.
- He considered Tanjo3 his rival when he first started to race.
- His greatest racing accomplishment is beating Linkus7 in the Second Spoiler Log Tournament.
- Having retired from racing, he now enjoys the game from a modding and TASing perspective.
